Hand Made Jewellery and Crafts

Odyn Copr sells unique items hand made on the premises.

All the enamel work and decoration of wooden craft items is carried out here and you can watch as each piece is being created. Demonstrations take place most afternoons and are free of charge.

The transparent enamel is fired on copper at a temperature of 800°C. Swirls of opaque glass give individual designs to each piece. Watch the colours emerge as cooling takes place.

Background Information

Sue Lowe trained at St Gabriel's College, London; specialising in enamelled jewellery. Soon she was supplying over 70 shops, principally in Wales. After several years mass producing jewellery Sue decided to develop new lines for her own retail business.

Sue also spends up to three months each year as a volunteer in third world countries in vocational training schools, self help workshops and with womens’ groups improving their product design and marketing skills. For more information please see Tools for Training Overseas.
